Lorena Oropeza, our Executive Director at Regency Grand at West Covina, is responsible for the oversight, leadership and support of our community. Lorena has worked in the Assisted Living industry since 1997. She joined us in May of 2004, bringing an outstanding commitment to quality care for our residents; support and encouragement of our staff that makes The Regency Grand at West Covina a premier example of the very best in Assisted Living. Lorena is pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in business administration and in her spare time she enjoys traveling, dancing, exercising and reading. Kim Homer, Marketing Director
Kim joins us as our Marketing Director with many years of serving seniors, starting her career as a Social Worker in her home state of Illinois. Kim earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois. Making a difference in the lives of seniors and their families is her passion. In her free time, Kim enjoys travel, reading, gardening, cooking and going to movies with her husband. Michelle Reisch: Community Relations DirectorMichelle is responsible for connecting the Regency Grand community with professionals that serve seniors in the West Covina area including local senior centers, churches, hospitals and physician groups. She enjoys educating seniors and professionals about everything the Regency Grand has to offer. In addition to outreach, she plans and implements marketing events for the community. Michelle is a graduate of California State University at Fullerton with a BA in Psychology. Her hobbies are hiking, kayaking, and spending time at the beach with her husband. Debbie Galaviz, LVN, Health Services Director
Debbie joined Regency Grand with nine years of nursing experience in Assisted Living and working with the developmentally disabled. She earned her Technical Teaching Credential, Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate and an Administrators Certificate for the Direct Support Providers Program. Debbie oversees the nursing services for Assisted Living, Memory Care and all medication programs at Regency Grand. In her free time she enjoys camping, watching movies and spending time with her family. Elbia Torres, Wellness Nurse, LVN
As our Wellness Nurse, Elbia continuously evaluates our residents to make sure that they are receiving the care and services that they need. She has extensive experience in treating Alzheimer's disease and dementia and with managing psychiatric care. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family. Angela Brodek, Activities Director
Angela is our Activities Director, and one of the newest members of our team. She is committed to helping our residents feel at home, as well as reconnecting them with their passions. Improving the lives of seniors is important to Angela, and she enjoys working with our residents in this unique way. Angela has an Associate's degree in Behavioral Sciences from Citrus College, and is currently working toward her Bachelor's in Psychology. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, dancing, writing poetry, and spending time with friends and family. Mel Thomas, Executive Chef and Food Service Director
Mel joins Regency Grand with a distinguished, 30-year culinary career. After becoming a certified Executive Chef in 1989, he has won the Inland Empire Chef of the Year award, the President's Medal of Honor award and a Lifetime Achievement award in cooking. In his spare time, Mel likes to play card games and attend car shows. Chris Wanner, Business Office ManagerBorn and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Chris recently relocated to California and makes her home in San Dimas. She has worked in Senior Living communities as an Activities Director and Assistant Administrator. As our business office manager she is responsible for all of our financial and administrative functions and serves as the human resources contact for community personnel. Chris and her husband are blessed with five wonderful children and two grandchildren. She enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling and spending as much time as she can with her family. Juan Martinez, Maintenance Manager
Juan came to Regency Grand in 2004 with over 17 years of experience in Assisted Living. He enjoys creating a beautiful and well-maintained environment for the residents and guests. In his free time he enjoys watching soccer and spending time with his son. |
