Lorena Oropeza, Executive Director

Lorena Oropeza, our Executive Director at Regency Grand at West Covina, is responsible for the oversight, leadership and support of our community. Lorena has worked in the Assisted Living industry since 1997. She joined us in May of 2004, bringing an outstanding commitment to quality care for our residents; support and encouragement of our staff that makes The Regency Grand at West Covina a premier example of the very best in Assisted Living. Lorena is pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in business administration and in her spare time she enjoys traveling, dancing, exercising and reading.

Michelle Reisch: Community Relations Director

Michelle is responsible for connecting the Regency Grand community with professionals that serve seniors in the West Covina area including local senior centers, churches, hospitals and physician groups. She has been with BPM Senior Living since 2005. She enjoys educating seniors and professionals about everything the Regency Grand has to offer, and in addition to outreach, she plans and implements marketing events for the community. Michelle is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a BA in Psychology. Her hobbies are hiking, kayaking and spending time at the beach with her husband Alan.

Debbie Galaviz, LVN, Health Services Director

Debbie joined Regency Grand with nine years of nursing experience in Assisted Living and working with the developmentally disabled. She earned her Technical Teaching Credential, Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate and an Administrators Certificate for the Direct Support Providers Program. Debbie oversees the nursing services for Assisted Living, Memory Care and all medication programs at Regency Grand. In her free time she enjoys camping, watching movies and spending time with her family.

Elbia Torres, Wellness Nurse, LVN

As our Wellness Nurse, Elbia continuously evaluates our residents to make sure that they are receiving the care and services that they need. She has extensive experience in treating Alzheimer's disease and dementia and with managing psychiatric care. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family.

Tamar Murphy, Activity Director

Tamar began working with seniors at the tender age of six, when she began volunteering at communities where her mother worked as a nurse and social worker. Today, Tamar holds certificates as an administrator, activity director and certified nursing assistant, and is currently pursuing a nursing degree at Mt. Sac. She enjoys seeing seniors living active, healthy lives and works hard to design enriching daily programs for our residents. In her free time she enjoys hiking, sightseeing, reading and volunteering.

Oscar Cristino, Executive Chef

Oscar joins us as our Executive Chef with many years of culinary experience behind him. Starting his career in such successful restaurants as T.G.I Fridays, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Olive Garden, and the Cheesecake Factory, gave him great experience to build from when he then moved on to the hospitality industry working for hotels such as the Sheraton, Millennium Biltmore and Doubletree. He has also had the honor of working for an international catering company who services such events as the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards and the Republican National Convention. In his free time he enjoys spending time at church, with his family, and is studying to advance his culinary degree.

Chris Wanner, Business Office Manager

Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Chris relocated to California in 2007 and makes her home in San Dimas. She has worked in senior living communities as an Activities Director and Assistant Administrator. As our Business Office Manager she is responsible for all of our financial and administrative functions and serves as the human resources contact for community personnel. Chris and her husband Steve are blessed with five wonderful children and two grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling and spending as much time as she can with her family.

Winstina Mammah, Kingswood Court Coordinator

We are so fortunate to have Winstina as our nurse in Kingswood Court. She has been in the healthcare field since 1994, and brings to us her caring, compassionate nature as well as her many years of nursing experience. Born in Sierra Leone, South Africa, Winstina went to college in London before moving to California and attending Pasadena City College where she received her nursing degree. She has worked in assisted living as a health services director and charge nurse at a skilled nursing facility, hospitals and hospice. In her free time she enjoys going to the theater, especially musicals, watching television and traveling.

Juan Martinez, Maintenance Manager

Juan came to Regency Grand in 2004 with over 17 years of experience in Assisted Living. He enjoys creating a beautiful and well-maintained environment for the residents and guests. In his free time he enjoys watching soccer and spending time with his son.
